With Progetto Inclusion®, an EU registered trademark, we design inclusive architecture: spaces that are accessible and welcoming to everyone, where inclusion is a design requirement, not an afterthought.
Context
Welcome, accessibility and inclusion are needs now firmly established in our society, and architecture has a duty to respond to them, moving beyond entrenched constraints and habits.
In fact, we have been living in and building inclusive spaces for decades: think of accessible spaces for people with disabilities. A person with limited mobility is not discriminated against for their gender or their choices, nor for their specific disability. Polis Consulting supports architecture in adapting to society and taking the right step: from separation to inclusion.
The project
Progetto Inclusion, a brand registered at European level, identifies inclusive premises from three points of view:
- Architecture: accessible spaces, designed to welcome everyone
- Interior design: environments that foster a climate of respect and fairness
- Language: neutral signs and sounds that highlight shared needs rather than differences
Progetto Inclusion helps architecture adapt to society and complete the necessary journey from separation to inclusion.
